Boomerang Generation

So i'm on a flight from SFO to LAX  and the man next to me asks why im going to LA.
I tell him" business i guess, i mean i have an interview for an internship" he starts to ask me about myself and i end up telling him i have three pt jobs and im trying to get a full time job in something i like rather then being then working in a office i hate and have no interest in. He then tells me i'm apart of the "Boomerang Generation" the 20 somethings who've been hit hard by the recession and in California the Budget cuts  and now have moved back in with their parents. we soon landed and he then wished me luck on my interview and said " Hey, be ruthless you can always go back to our three other jobs".
I went on my merry way to my interview with the design label. Only to find out the internship was unpaid, and that i'd be running errands all day so i had to have a car. So i understand paying your dues but when i asked about hiring they assured they weren't looking to hire. Seriously , how do people expect people  to work for free. I decided that was a no go.
So the search continues for a job, i'm passionate about that pays.
It's unclear at this point if that will happen, i may submit myself to the desk job that pays my rent AND food.
For now i will keep chasing the dream.
